19 May Italy – Bosnia – Croatia (12 Days / 11 Nights)
MILAN – SOTTO IL MONTE – MONTICHIARI – PADUA – VENICE – SPLIT (CROATIA) – MEDJUGORJE (BOSNIA) – ANCONA (ITALY) – S.G.ROTONDO – MONTECASSINO – ROME
DAY 1 – MILAN (ITALY): Arrival at Milan airport. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight in Milan.
DAY 2 – MILAN: Breakfast. Transfer to the centre of the city in order to visit the Duomo, the Square, the Scala Theatre and the elegant street Corso Vittorio Emanuele etc. Dinner and overnight in Milan.
DAY 3 – MILAN – SOTTO IL MONTE – MONTICHIARI (55 km – 85 km): Breakfast. Departure to Sotto il Monte where we’ll visit this little city of John XXIII and the Museum dedicated to this Pope. On to Montichiari where in 1947 Pierina Gilli had a vision of the Virgin. Free time to visit the Shrine of the Mystical Rose. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight in Montichiari.
DAY 4 – MONTICHIARI – PADUA (135 km): Breakfast. Departure to Padua where we will have time to see the Basilica of St. Anthony (where the rests of the Saint are kept) and the centre of the city. Rest of the day at leisure. Accommodation. Dinner and overnight in Padua.
DAY 5 – PADUA – VENICE – ANCONA – SPLIT (CROATIA) (49 km – 360 km – ferry): Breakfast. This morning we’ll have time to visit Padua with the St. Anthony Basilica and the centre of the city. On to Venice for a half day panoramic city tour including St.Mark’s Square and St.Mark’s Basilica, the Bridge of Sighs etc. On to Ancona to take the ferry boat to Croatia. Dinner and overnight aboard.
DAY 6 – SPLIT (CROATIA) – MEDJUGORJE (BOSNIA) (138 km): Breakfast. Disembark in Split pier and transfer by motorcach to Medjugorje. Arrival and accomodation. This evening we can partecipate to the religious activities. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 7 – MEDJUGORJE (BOSNIA): Breakfast. Full day dedicated to religious activities. We will climb Podbrdo or Apparition Hill, where on June 24th, 1981 Our Lady with a baby in her arms appeared to 6 young parishioners and keeps appearing and delivering us her messages. It will be possible to ascend the Mount Krizevac (Cross Mountain) and meet the Visioners (if available). Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 8 – MEDJUGORJE (BOSNIA) – SPLIT (CROATIA) – ANCONA (ITALY) (138 km – ferry): Breakfast. Morning at leisure. At proper time transfer to Split where we’ll take the night ferry boat to Ancona. Dinner and overnight on board.
DAY 9 – ANCONA – S.G.ROTONDO (341 km): Breakfast and disembark in Ancona. Transfer to San Giovanni Rotondo, hometown of Padre Pio. Arrival and visit to the places related with the life of the Saint. Accommodation. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 10 – S.G.ROTONDO – MONTECASSINO – ROME (239 km – 143 km): After breakfast free time in San Giovanni Rotonfo. On to Rome with a stop in Montecassino where we’ll visit the Abbey founded by St. Benedict in 529. Arrival in Rome. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 11 – ROME: Breakfast. Today enjoy a full-day sightseeing of the “Eternal City”: in the morning we’ll visit St. Peter’s Basilica with the Vatican Museums (included Sistine Chapel). In the afternoon we’ll visit the major Basilicas in Rome: the Basilica of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran plus the Holy Stairs. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 12 – ROME DEPARTURE: Breakfast. According to your flight departure time, transfer to the airport.
