ROME – ORVIETO – SIENA – FLORENCE – ASSISI – CASCIA – ROME
DAY 1 – ROME ARRIVAL: Arrival and transfer to the hotel for accommodation. Rest of the day at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
DAY 2 – ROME: After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing (with local guide) of the “Eternal City”: in the morning we’ll visit St. Peter’s Basilica with the Vatican Museums (included Sistine Chapel). In the afternoon we’ll visit the major Basilicas in Rome: the Basilica of St. Mary Major and St. John Lateran plus the Holy Stairs. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
DAY 3 – ROME – ORVIETO – SIENA (124 km – 123 km): After breakfast, departure to Orvieto, and visit the Cathedral with time to walk along the narrow streets of this city that is considered one of the most beautiful in Italy with its medieval arquitecture. On to Siena for a visit to the architectural wonders of this beautiful town, including the Cathedral, the Basilica of St.Domenico (where the rests of St. Catherine are kept) and Piazza del Campo where the “Palio” is held every year. Accommodation in hotel. Dinner and overnight in Siena.
DAY 4 – SIENA – FLORENCE – ASSISI (75 km – 172 km): After breakfast, transfer to Florence to explore the city during a half-day panoramic city tour including the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio etc. In the afternoon departure to Assis. Arrival and accommodation. Dinner and overnight in Assis.
DAY 5 – ASSISI – CASCIA – ROME (84 km – 140 km): After breakfast, depart for Cascia to visit the Basilica of St. Rita where the rests of the Saint are kept. On to Rome. Arrival and accommodation. Dinner and overnight in Rome.
DAY 6 – ROME DEPARTURE: After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight back home.
